Biography
I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and still call it home. I raised my family here with my wife. After Graduating with Distinction from the University of Kentucky in 1993, I pursued a career outside of the law for several years. Yet, something about practicing law kept beckoning me, and after receiving a scholarship, I enrolled in the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. In 2003, I graduated Magna Cum Laude and ranked within the top five percent of my class.
After graduation, I spent 9 years representing insurance companies, defending medical malpractice, personal injury, and workers’ compensation cases. Despite working for insurance companies, I maintained a strong sense of empathy for people harmed by the negligence of others, and in 2012, I transitioned to representing their interests.
Now, I only represent individuals who have been harmed by the negligence or illegal actions of others. I have tried numerous cases to verdict and represented clients at hundreds of administrative hearings. Additionally, I have prevailed at all levels of Kentucky Appellate Courts and have several published cases to my name.
I currently focus my practice in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, medical malpractice, employment and discrimination law, and general civil litigation. I am admitted to practice law in all courts of the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.
