Jury verdicts
Negligent security – $1,768,098 combined verdict for mother and infant
A night club did not provide proper security and allowed a pregnant woman to get shot in the abdomen, injuring the infant’s leg in utero. The baby had to be delivered emergently and both mother and baby survived. A unanimous jury awarded both the mother and infant $750,000 each in pain and suffering.

Construction site injury – $2,750,000 settlement
We were able to reach a $2,750,000 settlement for a concrete worker who suffered horrific leg and pelvis injuries on the job site after being crushed by equipment that was that not properly set up or stabilized before use. The case highlights the importance of appropriate training and safety protocols and the harm that can occur when companies put profits over people.
Medical negligence – $1,100,000 global settlement
A grandmother died from internal bleeding after complications from a vascular surgery went unnoticed by the surgeon and hospital.
Motor vehicle accident – $850,000 settlement
A client was a passenger in a one-car accident in which she suffered a fracture to her neck vertebrae. We were able to secure $850,000 settlement although the client was not wearing a seatbelt and had a prior history of neck problems.

A police officer was rear-ended while on duty and suffered a mild traumatic brain injury. The case was aggressively defended by the at-fault driver before being settled for $750,000. Because the injury occurred while he was on duty, a workers’ compensation claim was also pursued and we were able to obtain a permanent total disability award on behalf of the client.

Although the client had a pre-existing damage to the shoulder, we were able to negotiate a half million-dollar settlement. Furthermore, because the injury occurred at work, we were able to settle the workers’ compensation claim for an additional six figure amount.
